A must for all leaders of PSHE, this course enables participants to navigate and explore key issues around effective subject co-ordination including giving consideration to their RSE provision. Participants will consider the importance of subject leadership and management, the 'PSHE' ethos, and the subject's links to a variety of issues including safeguarding, SMSC and British values. The day will assist PSHE Leaders in developing a co-ordinated, effective and comprehensive approach to PSHE ensuring that essential elements such as monitoring and assessment are well considered.
Governors are increasingly required to respond to and embrace new initiatives and comply with new statutory requirements placed upon them. This session will cover a range of "hot" topics each term, ensuring governors and clerks are kept abreast of the latest developments in education.
New to Year 2: Statutory assessment at the end of KS1 (2 day course)
This is a two-day course specifically designed for teachers new to Year 2 and statutory assessment at the end of the key stage. Teachers will be fully briefed on their role in fulfilling national statutory requirements including testing, teacher assessment and moderation. Teachers will be given opportunities to reflect on the type of curriculum that may be useful to prepare children with practical examples of activities and assessment that might be used to support this process.
